SEATTLE (AP) Matt Smith had 12 points, on 6-of-8 shooting, and eight rebounds, Moataz Aly made a tie-breaking layup with 20 seconds left and Cal State Bakersfield beat Seattle 51-48 for its eighth win in a row.
Jaylin Airington had 10 points and six rebounds for the Roadrunners (19-7, 10-1 Western Athletic Conference), who overcame a poor-shooting performance to beat the Redhawks for the fifth consecutive time.
Brendan Westendorf hit two free throws to give Seattle (12-14, 4-7) a 39-36 lead midway through the second half and William Powell's layup with 3:36 left put the Redhawks up 44-43. Dedrick Basile answered with a 3-pointer and the teams traded buckets before Powell hit two free throws to make it 48-all with 42 seconds to play.
